Pride Park is not only the home of Derby County Football Club, but also a thriving industrial and retail park on the outskirts of Derby.
Previously a land fill site, the ground conditions are poor and as a result, the whole area required piling prior to development.
The works involved the installation of approximately 500 No. heavy walled steel tubular top driven piles. These piles allowed riskier free piling through the previous land fill tip, by virtue of the piles capacity to effectively chisel through obstructions.
Works had been progressing in phases since 2004 and by providing such a piling solution, we were able to allow the developers to enter and progress with a financially less risky contract.
Mike Lloyd, Contracts Director at All Foundations concludes, “We were and are still very proud to be involved in what has allowed the previously known ‘Derby Dump’ to be encompassed into one of the cities
flagship developments.”
