Driven Piling
Driven piling is the process of driving a steel cased pile or pre-cast pile into the ground using a hydraulic hammer. The steel casing is then filled with concrete and topped with a reinforced concrete raft, slab or pile cap.
Driven piling is particularly popular on open sites with poor ground conditions and is a fast and cost effective piling solution, allowing developers to purchase a previously depicted ‘poor site’ and turn them into lucrative and commercially viable construction projects.
All Foundations offers steel cased driven piling from 127mm to 244mm diameter, up to 750kN capacity and pre-cast driven piling from 150mm to 300mm square, up to 750kN capacity.
Driven piling contracts:
- Pride Park, Derby – 500 No. heavy walled top driven piles in order to turn the site into a viable development opportunity.
- Piled foundations for the Aspire structure in Nottingham.
In addition, we can provide the following testing facilities:
- Static load testing, for both compression and tension piles.
- Dynamic load testing.
- Integrity testing.
- Concrete cube testing.
- Vibration monitoring.
