All Foundations were successful in securing this contract by redesigning the scheme to maximise efficiency on the site and provide the client with over £10,000.00 in savings towards to the new development.

Railway

As the development site was adjacent to Clapham Junction station, All Foundations had to undertake extensive liaison with Network Rail to secure permission to pile adjacent to the railway embankment. Health and Safety were key in this project due to the proximity of the railway.

The works consisted of the installation of 70 No. continuous flight auger (CFA) piles, and the construction of a reinforced concrete slab with integral ground beams to support the loads from the new structure.

All Foundations’ in house engineers also produced all the calculations and drawings for submission to the Local Authority, and undertook detailed design of the foundation package.

The result was that the project was complete two weeks ahead of schedule.
