The construction of basements beneath new buildings, and below and beside existing buildings, has increased in popularity in recent years due to the rise in land prices and stricter planning requirements, particularly in conservation areas. A basement extension can substantially enhance a properties value and desirability, by creating additional living space at the correct level in the property.All Foundations offer the full range of basement construction techniques necessary to design and form a basement economically in any situation from conceptual layouts to the finished structural product.

Utilising traditional methods, underpinning, piling, reinforced concrete, full temporary works design and installation, we are able to get you out of the ground, and above the ground if you require, with the minimum of fuss.

Scope of Works: Demolition, underpinning and basement construction.
The construction of basements has become popular in urban areas, especially London where there is little scope for extending domestic properties. All Foundations were asked to construct a 4.0m deep basement between two existing Mews houses. Access was restricted, via the Mews.

Value of Foundations: £200,000.00.

A.E.E.U.
Client: Amalgamated Electrical and Engineering Contractors Union (A.E.E.U.).Value of Foundations: £260,000.00
Scope of Works: Provision of a 1,200m2 Basement.
The A.E.E.U. required a basement to be construction for use as a sports hall and gym. The building itself is a grade II listed building so extra care had to be taken when undertaking the works.
